No. The system is designed for easy installation on both new and existing power distribution boards.
Will the sensors take up space in my existing fuse box?
No, the energy sensors are designed to be installed seamlessly at your power distribution board without taking up any additional space on the DIN rail.
Where is the device physically located?
The main unit is installed at the main circuit breaker, where it can monitor the entire home's electrical flow.
Does it require a lot of space?
No, the compact design ensures it does not take up any extra space on your electrical rail.
How long does the installation take?
The installation process is efficient and typically takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
Will the install require major changes to electrical wiring?
No, the installation is non-invasive. Energy sensors are seamlessly integrated into your existing or new power distribution boards without requiring a new electrical panel or taking up additional space on the DIN rail.
App Features & Control
What is the "Complete Control Hub"?
This is the central dashboard in the app that visualises your energy usage, eliminating the need for separate apps for different devices.
Can I see energy usage by room?
Yes. The app breaks down power consumption by specific rooms (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom), showing exactly how many watts are being used in each area.
Can I control individual appliances?
Yes. Unlike standard monitors, PowerHome allows you to control energy usage down to the specific appliance and device level to identify "energy-hungry" devices.
What is "AI Goal Assist"?
AI Goal Assist is a feature that optimises energy use by analysing your consumption patterns and suggesting savings automatically.

Yes. PowerHome features direct integration with all major smart home ecosystems, including Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and Amazon Alexa. This allows you to check your energy status, control specific appliances, and run automation routines using simple voice commands.
Solar & Electric Vehicle Charging
Does PowerHome support Electric Vehicle (EV) charging?
Yes. It provides real-time data to your EV charger via a Mesh network, facilitating reliable dynamic load balancing to prevent circuit overloads.
Can I use this with solar panels?
Yes. The PowerApp can feature all types of local energy consumption and production data, specifically including local solar energy generation and battery storage.
How does PowerHome manage battery storage?
PowerHome integrates directly with your home battery system to provide full visibility of your energy reserves. You can monitor your battery's state of charge in real-time, view charge and discharge cycles, and ensure you are storing energy when it is cheapest to use when costs are higher.
What is "Dynamic Load Balancing"?
By being installed at the main circuit breaker, PowerHome provides real-time electrical data that facilitates dynamic load balancing. This ensures that power is distributed efficiently across the home, preventing overloads while monitoring the whole-home energy flow.
What are "High-priority" vs. "Low-priority" loads?
The system distinguishes between essential devices (High-priority: Air Conditioning, Water Heaters) and flexible devices (Low-priority: EV Chargers, Washing Machines) to optimise power distribution.
PowerAir
What is PowerAir?
PowerAir is an add-on module for environmental monitoring that tracks the air quality within your home to ensure health and comfort.
What specific air pollutants does it detect?
It detects Particulates (PM2.5, PM1.0, PM10) and Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC, Formaldehyde/HCHO).
Does it measure temperature, humidity, and pressure?
Yes. In addition to pollutants, PowerAir monitors Temperature, Humidity, and CO2 levels to provide a complete picture of your home's atmosphere.
Why should I monitor my home's air quality?
Environmental monitoring is vital because poor air quality can impact your health. PowerAir allows you to monitor these conditions to promote a healthier living space.
What specific "Atmosphere & Comfort" parameters does PowerAir track?
Beyond pollutants, the system monitors Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, and CO2 levels.
Which Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are detected?
PowerAir specifically detects Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) and Formaldehyde (HCHO).
Account Management & Privacy
How do you secure my PowerHome account?
Security is a top priority for home management. The PowerHome app supports Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), adding an extra layer of protection to your account. This ensures that only authorised users can access your energy dashboard and control your home’s devices.
Can I share access with other family members?
Yes. You can invite multiple users to your PowerHome account. The primary account holder can grant access to family members or tenants, allowing them to view energy data and control devices from their own smartphones without sharing a single login.
What happens to my account if I move house?
Since the PowerHome hardware is hardwired into the electrical panel, the system generally stays with the property. You can use the "Transfer Ownership" feature in the app to seamlessly dissociate your account from the hub and allow the new homeowner to register it. If you move to a new home with PowerHome installed, you can simply add the new location to your existing account.
How do I update my utility tariff rates?
To ensure your cost tracking is accurate, you can update your unit rates and standing charges directly in the "Account Settings" section. The system supports single-rate, dual-rate (Economy 7), and dynamic time-of-use tariffs to match your specific energy plan.
Is my energy usage data private?
Yes. Your consumption data is fully encrypted and is used solely to provide you with insights and optimisation suggestions. PowerHome does not sell your personal energy habits to third parties.
Can I opt out of marketing emails?
Absolutely. We want to communicate with you only when you find it valuable. You can unsubscribe from promotional materials while still receiving critical updates (like password resets or billing receipts).
To update preferences: Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or visit Account > Settings > Notifications to toggle specific email categories on or off.
How do I enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a code from your phone in addition to your password.
Setup: Navigate to Account > Settings > Security > 2-Step Verification.
Options: You can choose to receive codes via SMS text message or use an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator) for generated codes.
Backup Codes: Upon setup, you will be provided with a set of one-time-use backup codes. Save these in a safe place in case you lose access to your phone.
How can I log out of all other active devices?
If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, or if you forgot to log out of a public computer, you can remotely end all sessions.
Action: Go to Account > Settings > Security > Manage Devices.
Review: You will see a list of devices currently signed into your account, including their location and last active time.
Reset: Click "Sign out of all other sessions" to instantly log out every device except the one you are currently using. We recommend changing your password immediately after doing this.
